We recently ate at the Pilot House. It is now a combination of Chinese and Barbecue with lots
of Seafood as well. We were given two menus, one for Chinese and one for American, and all
of their Daily Specials were explained to us. You could order from either menu, or from both.
They have a big selection of Chinese cocktails and traditional American mixed drinks and beers.
We started our meal with a Chinese appetizer of crabmeat rangoon, and then we each enjoyed
a combination plate of sirloin tips cooked to perfection with tasty barbecue shrimp and pilot
fries. The pilot fries are big, thick, and flavorful steak fries. You could choose from shoestring
fries, mashed potatoes, vegetable, or rice instead of the pilot fries. Dinners come with salad and
dinner rolls. For dessert we both got the lemon cream cake and it was a perfect combination of
sweet and tart. They actually had quite a few dessert selections to choose from. Overall, the
portions were good size, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable. Our waitress
Rhonda was terrific, friendly, and knowledgeable. She even showed us their new function room
and explained how it works. We truly enjoyed her and our dining experience. Great place for families as well as adults. YL
