we had two rooms with family and stayed 2 nights. Each encounter with Workers was met with pleasant and helpful conversation.

The room and grounds were clean and well-maintained.

The walk to the beach was nominal and the pool was a lovely addition.

A simple breakfast fare made it so that we did not need to go out and pay for breakfast

Substantially cheaper than my go to places on Atlantic Avenue.

The room was large and had a view of the ocean from inside and from the balcony. It was comfortable and well appointed. The swimming pool was excellent, with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Breakfast on the covered patio overlooking the ocean was a special treat. Laura the owner/manager is a jewel. All of the employees were wonderful and I felt safe and welcomed. Wonderful experience!

The Vista was all that the reviews promised – a lovely motel with fabulous views, friendly staff and impeccably clean and presentable. It may not be the most chi-chi but give me the Vista over any of the more style orientated hotels. We had one of the second floor rooms with a little kitchenette – it was incredibly comfortable and well equipped. We visited Gloucester for five nights as a base for a whale watch and were so glad – not just for the whales, but beautiful Good Harbour beach, the Cape Ann Museum (and Edward Hopper exhibition!) and amazing lobster rolls at the Lobster Pool in Rockport. Would love to come back if we are in Massachusetts again (we are UK based). Thanks for everything.

Last minute trip to Gloucester/Rockport and very few rooms available

We took a chance on the Vista and we’re pleasantly surprised

It’s a older motel-like establishment but absolutely spotless ( down to the baseboards)

Comfy bed, beautiful grounds on a hill ( can see the water), quiet, nice simple breakfast on patio

Would stay here again

A friend of mine who has stayed with you on multiple occasions recommended you to us. Thank goodness for last minute cancellations because we were able to get a room for 1 night :). Too bad as we would have definitely liked to stay longer. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated being able to see the ocean from our balcony. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the motel and the staff was professional and helpful. The pool was divine. Perfect temperature. We definitely plan to come back next year!!!
