The website does a good job of showing what the motel is like. We had room 9 which had an “obstructed view” but it was still an awesome view of the ocean. The whole place is beautiful and kept up in apple pie order. What the website cannot convey is the friendly and respectful people who run the hotel and who stay as guests. All of our neighbors were great. We traveled with our two dogs and everyone was happy to see them. People are quiet and the whole place is laid back and peaceful. We did go midweek after Labor Day, so maybe it’s livelier in high season. Lots of folks we met said they came year after year. It’s an easy walk to the beautiful beach. Other options in the immediate area looked too shabby or were too pricey. I was very happy staying at the Vista and I hope to return next summer. And if you want the best fried clams, go to J. T. Farham’s in Essex.

This place was wonderful! The upkeep was exceptional and the staff incredibly hospitable!! The view was breathtaking! We’ll be back!!!

Been going to the Vista for decades. Not fancy but clean affordable efficiency with nice pool. Service is great. Good breakfast included. Super location. $10 coupon for Good Harbor Beach which we love. Highly recommend
