Boy Was I Surprised

When I researched hotels in Gloucester this one was half the price of others. I just knew it was going to be a dump.
Boy was I surprised.
The grounds were immaculate. The staff helpful and joyful. The view perfection. The location convenient to everything.
The rooms are mini-apartments. We wanted for nothing.
I had never been to Gloucester, but thanks to Vista I will return.

We had such a great stay! The entire staff (including Lenny!) was so incredibly nice! Upon arrival and check-in, they gave us a list of restaurants in the area complete with a summary of what each one is known for, they had a multitude of brochures for area attractions in the front lobby, and answered every question we had with a smile. Upon entering our cute little room we found some pretty towels tied up with a ribbon on the bed, with a little card attached reading please enjoy these for the pool (which was heated!). The soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash supplied smelled amazing too. We will definitely come back when in the area again!

Perched on a hill overlooking Good Harbor Beach, the views alone are worth the trip, sunrises from the balcony hit different. The rooms are super clean, retro in the best way, and come with everything you need for a chill, low-key escape. Plus, they’ve got that old-school motel charm but upgraded with modern touches (shoutout to the heated pool and solid WiFi). Location-wise, it’s perfect. Your minutes from downtown Gloucester’s food scene, Rockport’s coastal vibes, and all the North Shore hiking trails your heart could want. And the staff? So friendly and helpful, it felt like staying with family (but the kind that lets you sleep in). Highly recommend if you’re looking for an affordable, no-stress beach getaway with major nostalgia and solid New England energy!

The staff was so nice the property is clean, the rooms are clean. Anna who was taking care of the complimentary breakfast is an absolute sweetheart! Very accommodating and a gentle soul she made the visit most enjoyable. Tia was also very nice and accommodating. It was a pleasure to stay at the Vista and would recommend this property when visiting Glouceester and the surrounding areas.
