Surprise getaway

Quiet out of the way but central to everything

The rooms were huge the bathroom was small though everything was clean fridge microwave coffee maker. beds were deceiving but super comfortable

Very clean, no, actually the room was extremely clean, the bathroom and shower were also extremely clean.

The king size bed was very comfortable . The room was very well decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Young lady at front desk was extremely helpful. The view of the beach and ocean is fantastic. My wife has been asking to see whales in the wild for 39 years so we drove 360 miles from Jersey Shore arriving late. Had a great sleep and woke up to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean. Short walk to beach in view of our room. It was awesome.

My wife and I really appreciate the hospitality we received and we are very picky about hotels. I recommend “The Vista ” to anyone as picky as we are. You will enjoy your stay.

My wife and I just returned from a short vacation (5 days) in Gloucester/Rockport, Mass. We stayed at the Vista for all of those days.

First, I must say that when we phoned to make reservations, we spoke to Yvonne at the desk. She was so pleasant and helpful that we decided to stay all five days there, rather than split our time at two locations. We were glad we did.

The Vista is perfectly located if you want to see Cape Ann. It is centrally located in Gloucester, between Rockport, Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Essex. It is also within just a few minutes from many beautiful places to walk, among them Halibut Point State Park, and Long Beach.

There is good parking right near your room. The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The bathroom was fine, the individual balcony a great place to relax, perhaps have breakfast, or just watch the scenery. It was very quiet – good for sleeping.

The breakfasts were good. You can place an order for a small variety of items, including two breads, juices, hard-boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, and of course, coffee or tea. You can eat what you’ve selected in an open-air (tented) area, or bring it back to your room to have on your balcony.

We found the Vista everything we could have asked for – especially at its very competitive rate.

We expect to return next year, and can recommend it highly.

There are beautiful jelly fish on the right side of the ocean just over the bridge. Beach is carry in carry out.

We met the owner, who is a very nice and helpful gentleman.   The location on top  a hill makes for good viewing and picture taking.  They have a pool, but wasn't open for the season , yet.  Our next trip in May, we will enjoy the pool.

The view is lovely. It was not very busy when we were there but there was a nice continental breakfast available.

Les chambres sont beaucoup plus belle en vrai qu’en photo. C’est très propre et l’hôtel est très bien entretenu. La dame qui nous  m’accueillie fut souriante! gentille et très professionnelle.

Excellent staff, family friendly, superb continental breakfast, spaceous rooms for families with kids.  If you are seeking an affordable getaway for a family of five with three younger kids then this is the place to be, including the said eateries I noted,  you will have the most awesome experience here, every stay!
