The Vista was all that the reviews promised – a lovely motel with fabulous views, friendly staff and impeccably clean and presentable. It may not be the most chi-chi but give me the Vista over any of the more style orientated hotels. We had one of the second floor rooms with a little kitchenette – it was incredibly comfortable and well equipped. We visited Gloucester for five nights as a base for a whale watch and were so glad – not just for the whales, but beautiful Good Harbour beach, the Cape Ann Museum (and Edward Hopper exhibition!) and amazing lobster rolls at the Lobster Pool in Rockport. Would love to come back if we are in Massachusetts again (we are UK based). Thanks for everything.

Last minute trip to Gloucester/Rockport and very few rooms available

We took a chance on the Vista and we’re pleasantly surprised

It’s a older motel-like establishment but absolutely spotless ( down to the baseboards)

Comfy bed, beautiful grounds on a hill ( can see the water), quiet, nice simple breakfast on patio

Would stay here again

A friend of mine who has stayed with you on multiple occasions recommended you to us. Thank goodness for last minute cancellations because we were able to get a room for 1 night :). Too bad as we would have definitely liked to stay longer. We enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated being able to see the ocean from our balcony. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the motel and the staff was professional and helpful. The pool was divine. Perfect temperature. We definitely plan to come back next year!!!

Fifty years of vacations at the Vista & I hope to continue for many years to come. When the staff raves about their employer you know how loving & caring they are.

We stayed at The Vista the day before a whale watch. Check-in was on time and welcoming, early morning check-out was a breeze. We loved the Java cleaning products that were supplied. The view! The view over the Gloucester harbor was stunning. Every staff member we encounted was professional and courteous. Good job!, to all of The Vista employees. You should be proud.
